Amber + Sanjit | Wedding Melbourne

This spectacular Saturday started off at both Amber and Sanjit’s houses, capturing the special moments in which their bridal parties, families and sharply dressed beloved dogs would help them prepare for one of the most important days of their lives!

The parties then made their way to, and were wed, in the picturesque St Ignatius Church in Richmond, a magnificent historic building  that has the feeling of a Cathedral with its decorative elements, including stained glass and the marble high altar. The much in love couple said their ‘Yes I do’s’ through some most heartfelt vows, broad smiles and a romantic sparkle that never left their eyes.

As a photographer, naturally a photo shoot with the stars of the day is my favourite part of any wedding! So as soon as I could, I whisked the very photogenic wedding party off to both Fitzroy and the ever popular Victoria Barracks for some stunning shots –  Illuminated by the Spring sun and Amber’s gorgeously detailed gown, the couple’s love and unity shone for all to see!

The Bride and Groom then had an intimate yet traditional Sri Lankan, Poruwa ceremony. The marriage is made up of an array of components that symbolise the couples transition to the next stage of their journey together, signifying not just two people together, but the union of two families. This was followed by the Reception, both held at Merrimu Receptions in Murrumbeena, an enjoyable affair with loved ones lasting long into the night, but ending all too soon!

Amber and Sanjit, it was a pleasure to share in your special day and I wish you both everlasting happiness!  I hope you agree when I say that each photo captured has turned out to be amazing; a true reflection of the sentiments shared throughout your incredible day!
